Medical Assistant is the combination of phlebotomy technician, electrocardiogram technician, and patient care procedures, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, first aid, and defibrillation. This training provides students with the theoretical foundation and practical skills needed to handle the clinical duties of an entry level medical assistant position.
Phlebotomy Technician
A Phlebotomist Technician is a person who collects blood samples, performs special blood tests, from new borns, children and adult patients for analysis. As a Phlebotomy Tech., you are a vital member of a Lab. Team, in all types of Medical facilities.
EKG Technician
The EKG Technician is a person who works in the cardiovascular area in clinics, hospitals, telemetry units, pre-admission testing (surgery)., performing ECG's, and sometimes performing basic arrhythmia interpretation, artifacts.
Medical Procedures
Vital signs, audio level testing, Injections, Pharmacology, Asthma treatment, Oxygen therapy, Defibrillation, basic anatomy, pathology and pulmonary functions testing.
