Certified Intravenous Technician
Treatment is increasingly being used in out patient care settings, home care, clinics, doctor's offices, and hospitals. Registers nurses are no longer the only caregivers who manage I. V. treatment. Medical assistants, Phlebotomists, and
LPNS also have the ability.
Managing I.V. treatments provides many extra features; quick review charts sum up key information, such as corporation of venipuncture sites, ways to stabilize peripheral veins at various sites, trouble shooting, and correction of equipment problems.
